HUSTLABALL LONDON Sunday 2.5.2010

It was one of the most anticipated parties of the year as the Hustla Ball returned to London with a mass of porn stars, international DJs and the infamous Suzie Krueger with her HARD ON room, the star attraction of the 2009 party. While the Hustla Ball was slow to get going, there seemed to be a perpetual motion between rooms as everyone was checking out what was on offer. Once settled it was definitely a party of 2 parts. The main room hosted all the shows, which there seemed to plenty of. The shows bought the whole room to a complete standstill as mobile cameras filmed every inch of what was on offer...and there was a lot of inches. The main room was more like a theatre than a dance space, as porn fans were getting exactly what they came for...to see their porn idols in the flesh. It was voyeurism to the extreme. Congratulations to both DJS Nick Tcherniak and Eduardo de la Torre who spun greats sets despite the constant interruption of shows. Those who wanted to dance headed towards the HARD ON room and it was this room that once again stole the show. Packed, it pumped with a testosterone fueled energy. This year more guys than ever wore fetish giving the HARD ON the sexiness the rest of the venue lacked. The HARD ON shows did not interrupt the music and were more unusual than in the main room, if not to the amusement of many (the clown mask was interesting, to say the least). All DJs performed 100% perfectly spinning a harder edged, yet still accessible and uplifting sound keeping the room packed to the end. One of the more unusual spaces was the VIP room which was a mix of tacky, unusual, sexy and off the wall. The best way to describe the decadence of the VIP room is to describe a moment that stuck in my mind and reflected the room in general..." a drag queen spun one of Lady Gaga's tunes while on a makeshift bed two men in leather were fisting each other". Reports that DJs Kraak & Smaak rocked the terrace, despite the cold, were verified by many. As for the rest of the party...well let our pics do the talking. BN
