LO PROFILE Saturday 17.4.2010

LO PROFILE is one of Soho's leading venues. Saturday nights is it crown attracting some of London's most gorgeous boys & girls into its basement venue. This Saturday was of no exception. A little slow to get going, clubbers descended the stairs from the closing of it's sister Bar Profile while others joined in the from the street. By midnight the place was definitely kicking. Lo Profile has always been one of my favourite venues to DJ at, simply because you can play a diverse range of music. On this night I wheeled out a few chunky 'nuFunk' house grooves and threw in some dirtier and sexy house which were all well received with hands in the air, whooping from the dance floor and many thumbs up from the clubbing crowd. Clubbers competed with the hunky gogos for that prime space known as the podium...after all, it is all about standing out and being seen, and with the quality crowd LoProfile attracts, podium height is an essential tool. It would be fair to say from midnight to about 2am LoProfile reflected what could have been a major party with an atmosphere to match. The crowd started to thin about 2.30am...going from packed to busy way beyond 3am towards its closing time of 4am. LoProfile itself is a clubbing destination for those who do not want a full-on-weekend of clubbing, while others use its a a launch pad for a long haul weekend. Either way it's all about fun which there always is plenty....BN
