CROWD: We are going to be completley honest with you (as we are). ONYX is not your typical gAylist club, but there can be no denying that is has transformed Friday nights in Vauxhall. While the crowd is more Twinky hunk then hunky hunk, Vauxhall trash then Soho glamour (after all, it is in Vauxhall), chavalicious then spunkalicious (although some of them Chavs have it going on) ...it is a typical representation of the young gay clubbing crowd. It is full of energy, enthusiasim, creative, excitable and a lot going on. Sure, your gAylisters can be seen in the crowd enjoying a 'trashy night out in Vauxhall' and why not. ONYX does not pretend to be more than just a fun night out. It makes no pretense to be another Matinee or SuperMartxe...it is what a Friday night is about: a few laughs, a lot of drinks and release from the pressures of work and the modern way of life. This is the new generation of clubber, and like it or not, this is the way it is. And with an enforced 'majority gay policy', you might just get laid! This month, we have an exclusive live show from Russian diva Polina, the vocalist on classic Beyond anthem 'SOS' by A-Studio. The Skylark Vocal mix of 'SOS', which Polina will perform especially for the Onyx crowd, defined an era of clubbing – a hands in the air anthem, with a grinding bassline and infectious vocal. This one performance not to miss! Polina also has some fantastic new material to perform, including collaborations with E-Squire, Chris Montana and Kaskade. Her latest hit 'Don't Give It Up' has been making waves on the London scene over the last few months – with a pumping underground bassline, catchy synth hooks and, of course, an amazing Polina vocal. DJ Paul Heron joins the all star residents on the main floor, spinning uplifting house to the hottest Friday crowd in London. Over in the Black Box, Tuomo Fox, Jason Prince and James St James let rip the biggest commercial anthems and pop, whilst Lisa German and Ariel drop the hottest tech house in the Embankment Bar.
