It is one of the hottest topics on FACEBOOK, as activist Aaron Baldwin of San Francisco campaigns to boycott the energy drink ROCKSTAR (distributed by PEPSI CO). According to Aaron, Rockstar was co-founded by a MICHAEL SAVAGE, who is well known for his public admissions of HATE towards Gay and Lesbians and many others. His reputation is so well known that he was recently  banned from the United Kingdom.

The (British) government published a blacklist Tuesday of people recently banned from the country including a Hamas lawmaker and a Jewish extremist, as well as anti-gay protestors and a far-right US talk show host. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she decided to publish the "name and shame" list -- which identifies 16 people banned since last October -- for the first time to clarify what behaviour Britain will not tolerate. "I think it's important that people understand the sorts of values and sorts of standards that we have here, the fact that it's a privilege to come and the sort of things that mean you won't be welcome in this country," she said. "If you can't live by the rules that we live by ... we should exclude you from this country and, what's more, now we will make public those people that we have excluded," she told the GMTV broadcaster....." Michael Savage's name was on that list.

Oh, and he's also applauded the abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, opposed aid for tsunami victims, and called for the dropping of nuclear weapons on an an Arab country, any Arab country. He was fired from a brief stint at MSNBC after telling a gay caller to "get AIDS and die".

Although Rockstar is distributed by PEPSI CO Aaron urges us this is not a BOYCOTT of PEPSI CO.

To clarify, we are not supporting a boycott of PepsiCo. due to their historic track record of being very supportive of the LGBT community including:

Donated $500,000 to PFLAG
Donated $500,000 to Human Rights Campaign (HRC)

PepsiCo requires that its employees attend sexual orientation and gender identity/expression training

They have policies protected and teaching about equality towards Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered employees

They have policies for "gender identity and expression," and "domestic partner benefits." including insurance coverage for transgendered employees which includes leave after surgery, counseling , hormone therapy, and medical visits.
