It features ten tracks that are predicted to become big tunes over the coming spring, some which will feature at the Miami Winter Music Conference. All of these tracks have featured Top 10 Jukebox.

Brent has intentionally selected track from a style he coins 'Nu Funk House'...not a new genre but a noticeable 'funking' up of house music be it electro, progressive or tribal...and with funky house tracks returning back to their roots by being true to their disco influences.

Mis White

1. How did you first get into djing?

I decided I wanted to be a DJ at the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada Desert 2003 when I saw my friend Jacqui play - I thought she looked SO cool and I loved how the crowd were reacting to all her tunes, then a friend sold me an old set of decks and a mixer for £100 when I got back and the bug just took over... The gay scene opened up a whole new world of music and clubbing to me - I used to go to Salvation at Cafe de Paris and Beyond at the Colosseum then on to Later - the music and the atmosphere were just amazing, like nothing I'd ever experienced before - Steve Pitron, Paul Martin and the Sharp Boys definitely had a huge influence on me wanting to get behind the decks myself, I still love to catch their sets whenever I get a chance. I'm very lucky to have a day job that can accommodate what I do - I work in a fashion, photography, make-over studio where I work about 13-15 days a month so I can request specific days off when I know I have a gig. The downside is, I have to work at least 4 weekend days a month which means I usually work every Saturday so I can have my Sundays and Mondays off - but then if I'm playing internationally, I'll have to take the whole weekend off and make up for it another time. The good thing is that I don't start until 12 each day (but I still find that very difficult!!)

2. Being a girl on a gay scene dominated by men DJ...how 'easy' was it for you to make it?

I don't think being a girl made it any easier for me. If anything, people scrutinise what you do more.... when they see a girl playing they point it out to their friends and make more of a point of actually listening to what you're playing and how you're mixing. I think what did help to get me noticed at the beginning was the outfits that I wore - the sight of a girl in a corset & tutu covered in glitter and sequins usually caught people's eye - sometimes I would get a gig partially because of my image and styling. On the flip side, there have been occasions where I've been turned down by a promoter purely for the fact I'm a girl - I think this matters more on the gay scene as sometimes some clubs want to project a more masculine image, but usually once they hear me play my sex becomes irrelevant and I'm usually asked back to play there again. I've been very lucky to play for some of the biggest and best clubs the gay scene has to offer - Heaven, DTPM, Fiction and Salvation so obviously me being a girl hasn't been too much of a hindrance!!

3. Do you DJ in the straight scene?

I do occasionally play straight gigs which always go really well but I much prefer the gay scene - the people, the atmosphere, the fun, and of course the music. I personally feel the straight scene takes the music far too seriously (I actually find the music a bit boring!). It's my belief that most straight boys can't dance and never get carried away dancing or get lost in music and so they make and play music which reflects this, whereas the gays have been working out in the gym all week and working on their tans, and they just want to go out, take their tops off and have a great time dancing to some fabulous music. I'm not saying the gays don't take their music seriously - they most certainly do - if they're not happy with the music they will let you know!!

4. How would you best describe your music?

I would describe my music as sexy and feel good with lots of personality that really makes you wanna dance!! Rather than get caught up in the abundance of ever changing labels that people like to assign to a certain sound, I just know I play all kinds of house depending on the crowd and the venue (and the time slot)..... if I had to label it, I'd say it ranges from from funky to tech house and electro house to progressive - I will say though, I do love a good dirty bassline, and I do love my vocals or a really intoxicating instrumental melody. I suppose the reason I play what I do is because it's what I love and it's what I would like to hear if I was on the dance floor (which is where you'll usually find me when I'm not behind the decks).

Top 5 Tracks:

1. Come On - Javi Mula - Definitely one of my favourites for a long time - this is a proper "make you wanna dance" track - I LOVE the bassline!!)

2. I Get Lifted - Erick Morillo (Michael Gray & Danism mix) - This one STILL gets the crowd going, I have a feeling it will be around for a long time.

3.Addicted - Taito Tickaro Ft. Vanessa Klein - This one just sucks you in....... another addictive song about being addicted.

4. Party Time - Matush (original mix) - Great big room chunky tune which samples Haji & Emanuel's "Weekend" from 2005

5. Let The Sunshine In - Milk & Sugar (Alex Kenji Dub) - Not the newest track on the block but definitely one of the best mixes - pure happiness!
